It's off to a good start
by Jana Ingwersen
The summer internship for more than 70 students from Eastern Europe was supposed to start at the beginning of June 2021.
Due to well-known events, restrictions and other obstacles, this year proved to be a difficult year for the implementation of the planned project. However, our staff members were not discouraged and looked for every possible way to implement the project. The first group of students from Belarus arrived on 07 June, thanks to the joint efforts of all colleagues and partners, as well as the participants themselves.
At the moment the participants attend the introductory seminar of the program with the support of our trainers and coordinating staff at our technical school DEULA-Nienburg, which will allow them to adapt more quickly to the life and the working process on the farm.
On Monday the students will be already assigned to their respective farms and will start their internship where they will spend the next 4 months and immerse themselves in German agriculture.
We will be there to support them and be their contact person at all times.
We wish the interns good luck and a fruitful internship.
