DEULA-Nienburg at BioFach 2018
by Ineta Ence
As part of the internationally acclaimed "Bio Fach 2018" trade fair in Nuremberg, DEULA Nienburg was able to present its comprehensive training and further education program for specialists in organic agriculture. The increasing importance of ecological processes of animal and plant production both in Germany and in many other countries of the world, requires a further support through "skills development" to enable a successful organic production. With the practice-oriented educational offer by DEULA Nienburg, which concentrates to a large extent on the proper use of modern production factors under ecological aspects. Many producer organizations, NGOs and agricultural enterprises abroad (especially India and China) showed a great interest in the German concepts of education and training of agriculturists offered by DEULA Nienburg. It is very clear that there is an increasing interest by conventional farmers across the World to integrate ecological practices into their own production processes.
In particular, methods for regulating weeds and water-saving tillage, as well as rearing of farm animals according to ecological principles. These match accurately with the trainings provided by us to target groups. A special highlight for our colleague Ms. Chetana Siddappa was meeting the World famous Indian scientist Dr. Vandana Shiva (see right) with whom an intensive cooperation for the future was discussed.
